Abstract:
The restoration of dental and maxillofacial defects is still a challenging procedure, even for skilled practitioners. How well the prosthetic decision and technique were made has a direct impact on the prosthesis’s aesthetics, the condition of the supporting tissues, and the patient’s comfort. The process of prosthetic rehabilitation involves more than just applying a synthetic mass to a facial defect or deformity. Maxillofacial rehabilitation plans are predictable and well-defined when the biological behavior of the recipient sites and the properties of the materials employed are understood. This article aims to provide a clear framework for comprehending and defining an appropriate prosthetic design for a maxillofacial surgical defectes. Conclusion: Maintaining a clear vision of what the rehabilitative facial procedure should look like in a particular condition is exceptionally beneficial in terms of time savings, predictability, and patient comfort.
